There's a common belief that an information system can be built either expensively and well or cheaply and poorly. Low-code technology presents a different scenario. It utilizes ready-made components, so the programmer doesn't have to start building the system by writing basic components like registration, login, search etc. In the approach using programming languages, libraries and frameworks have been created for this purpose. You could say that low-code is a level above. Libraries and frameworks need to be used properly and integrated with each other, which usually requires a significant amount of work. This can be compared to cutting out blocks of wood and joining them together. Now imagine that in low-code, you're given perfectly cut blocks and you assemble them like a puzzle.

I will answer by the example of Oracle APEX technology. Its creators declare on their homepage: "Create business applications 20x faster and with 100x less code". Usually, one should not trust the marketing boasts of manufacturers about their own software and this time it is no different. I would say that it is better than the APEX website declares. Personally, I managed to speed up the work much more than twenty times and with writing much less code than the manufacturer declares. Of course, it depends on what kind of application we are creating, but I had the opportunity to work on very complex information systems and the advantage of APEX over writing the code yourself is stunning. And as the old Polish proverb says - time is money.
